Also known as Tomahawk and CTZ, Columbus is one of the most popular dual-purpose hops. Thanks to its high levels of A-acids, it can be used as a main bittering hop in Pale Ale, IPA, Stout and any imperial beers. It has an earthy character and spicy aromas, of herbs, licorice and pepper, but also notes of grass and citrus.
